Biography
Joost Zoeteman Gipsy Swing
Trio & Wattie Rosenberg is a musical group playing contemporary
gipsyjazz, the legacy of Django Reinhardt. This year they toured
with the legendary Tchavolo Schmitt and played at theatres and
festivals throughout Europe. Their official debut album will be
released this year.
Gipsyjazz and Hot Club de France has become a
traditition that is handed down from generation to generation in the
gipsy community. The group not only has its roots in this
tradition but also in the more modern jazz style.
The musicians are specialists in gipsy jazz / Hot Club de France of
music, a swinging virtuoso performance is on.
Joost Zoeteman
Joost performed with different jazz
groups throughout Europe, India and Vietnam. As gipsyjazz soloist he
performed (among others) with Tchavolo Schmitt, Mayo Hubert, Jan
Limberger, and Basily.
Martin Limberger
Martin
is son of the famous Limberger family. His father was leader of the
Gipsy Orchestra The Piottos. He performed with Stochelo Rosenberg,
Tchavolo Schmitt, Birelli Lagrene and Fapy Lafertin. Recently he
recorderd the CD "Loutcha" with Tchavolo Schmitt
Wattie Rosenberg
Violinist Wattie Rosenberg learned to play the violin
from his father, another famous player from the
Rosenberg family. He has alreay recorded two cd's as a
leader, and performed at Django Reinhardt festivals in
Holland and throughout Europe.
 Fremdo Rosenberg
Fremdo Rosenberg is
Wattie's younger brother. The first steps on bass he have learned
from Wattie. Since then he has developed to a succesfull player and
worked with
a lot of famous gipsyjazz players.
